About Me

I'm Robyn, a recently turned thirty Midwesterner.  I currently live in Bloomington, IN where I enjoy a life filled with good friends, good family, and good food.  I've followed a vegetarian diet for the last decade.  During that time, the majority of the food I cooked was vegan and the dairy/eggs I ate were all free range and organic from Organic Valley.  Recently, due to weight gain, allergies, and no longer being able to justify to myself continuing to eat dairy and eggs, I decided to make the total vegan leap in November 2011 and it has been a rocky vegan road.  In January 2012 I started working out a whole lot.  On the plus side, I am healthier and losing a bunch of weight.  On the negative side, I crave eggs like an insane person.  I can do no cheese, I have always hated milk, coconut ice cream is just as good as the real thing, and I love me some earth balance but Organic Valley eggs, gah...they kill me.  So it's a process.  I am in a transition.

In the Veganing will serve as a guide through my vegan journey. There will be recipes both original and borrowed from my favorite cookbooks and favorite blogs.  I am constantly stalking recipes online and playing with new foods and new ideas.  Sometimes I get lazy and don't post which is totally inexcusable and ridiculous of me but, you know what?  Sometimes I just can't help it!
